Following the successful first European Course on Sleep Medicine and Sleep Research held in Munich in November 2003, the ESRS Board has decided to organize a 2nd three-day European Course on Sleep Research and Sleep Medicine. The course will consist of a series of lectures and practical sessions that should enable informal contacts among the participants and between the participants and leading European experts in the field.
The aim of the course is to provide an update on the basic and clinical aspects of sleep research. The course also aims to lay the foundations for a more intense Europe-wide development of Sleep Medicine and Sleep Research in the future.
The second European Course will be held in Guildford July 1-3 2004. Registration will be open to ESRS members who have experience in Sleep Research or Sleep Medicine. Participation fees will be 250 EUR and the number of participants will be limited. Due to an unrestricted educational grant from Sanofi-Synthélabo, ESRS will be able to award a number of travel grants.
